NEW TUDOR WATCHES 2023

- By Adwitiya Richards

The New Tudor Watches 2023, introduced at the Watches and Wonders 2023, shake the luxury watch industry with their cutting-edge technology and impeccable design. A master’s choice, a connoisseur’s delight, an artist’s perfection, an innovator’s creations and a darer’s way of life. Here are the different watches introduced by the master horologist.

THE BLACK BAY

Tudor’s iconic diving watch, the Black Bay, has undergone a significant elevation with its third iteration, featuring a new METAS-certified movement – the self-winding Manufacture Calibre MT5602-U. This timepiece boasts a bidirectional rotor system and comes in a 42mm stainless steel case with a burgundy bezel and a slightly domed black dial. You can choose between a three-link or five-link stainless steel bracelet, or opt for an additional rubber strap that comes with Tudor’s convenient “T-fit” rapid adjustment clasp.

The Black Bay 54

The newest offering from Tudor’s Black Bay 54 collection is considered the most authentic representation of the Maison’s initial dive watch. Crafted from stainless steel, the historically precise 37mm case retains all of the defining features of the original model. The black dial, subtly domed and radial-brushed, is adorned with Tudor’s signature “snowflake” hands and applied indices coated in Super-LumiNova. Inside the Black Bay 54 lies the MT5400 Manufacture movement, offering up to 70 hours of power reserve.

The Black Bay 31/36/39/41

The latest additions to the Black Bay 31/36/39/41 introduce a distinctive visual element through a combination of different finishes that bring a modern twist to the classic design. The watch is available in four different case sizes and features a mix of satin-brushed and polished stainless steel. The dial options include blue, anthracite, and light champagne colours. The MT5201 movement powers the 31mm version, the MT5400 the 36mm version, the MT5602 the 39mm version, and the MT5601 calibre the 41mm version.

The Black Bay GMT

A globetrotter’s top choice, the Black Bay GMT includes a multiple time-zone feature, along with all the usual design characteristics of the collection. The opaline dial is domed and has a galvanic finish, creating a pleasing contrast against the iconic rotating burgundy and blue bezel. Powering the GMT is the MT5652 Manufacture movement, which is highly functional and COSC-certified, providing 20 ATM water resistance and a power reserve of 70 hours. In addition to the original three-link stainless steel bracelet, a black fabric strap with burgundy red accents is also available for a sporty look.

The Tudor Royal

The Tudor Royal collection has been designated by the Maison as the “epitome of versatile and affordable sport-chic,”. Two new dial shades have been added to the collection, namely a light salmon hue and chocolate brown. Both versions have a sunray satin finish on the dial, with applied or diamond Roman numerals. The watches come in several case sizes, ranging from the smaller 28mm and 34mm to the somewhat larger but still slim 38mm and 41mm. The Tudor Royal has a unique feature in its notched bezel which showcases alternating cut-groove and polished finishes made of steel or yellow gold.
Tudor has once again showcased its excellence in watchmaking with the launch of its latest timepieces for Watches & Wonders 2023. The brand has continued to impress enthusiasts and collectors with its innovative technology, impeccable designs, and commitment to maintaining its heritage.
