Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Is Completing the All-Black Look

Overview
Tudor’s Black Bay Ceramic gets a matching ceramic bracelet, bringing a more complete expression to its contemporary dive-watch design.
A bracelet that changes the picture
Since its introduction in 2021, the Black Bay Ceramic has been defined by its matt black ceramic case, dark dial and understated, all-black aesthetic. It was offered on a hybrid rubber-and-fabric strap, which suited its practical, tool-watch character. Now, Tudor has extended that material story to the bracelet, creating a full ceramic version that brings the watch’s design together from case to clasp.
The bracelet gives the Black Bay Ceramic a more cohesive presence on the wrist. Its proportions, surfaces and colour are closely aligned with the case, allowing the material to remain the central feature of the design.

Black, but not quite flat
The new bracelet is made from black ceramic and follows a three-link construction. Its surfaces are matt, matching the micro-blasted case and preserving the watch’s understated character.
The substantial links suit the 41mm case, giving the watch a balanced appearance on the wrist. The ceramic construction also brings the material’s familiar advantages, including resistance to everyday scratches and a smooth feel against the skin.
Producing a ceramic bracelet requires considerable precision. Ceramic is more difficult to machine than steel, and the links, end links and clasp must be manufactured and assembled to exacting tolerances. The result is a bracelet designed specifically for this case and its all-black aesthetic.

A different kind of clasp
The bracelet is fitted with Tudor’s proprietary dual-folding ceramic clasp. It uses a screw system for its removable links, making sizing a task best handled by a Tudor retailer or authorised service centre.
The clasp is an integral part of the bracelet’s construction, with its ceramic components continuing the material treatment of the case and links. Together, they give the watch a unified appearance from top to bottom.
The familiar case, with subtle changes
The watch retains its 41mm matt black ceramic case, measuring 13.55mm thick and 49.4mm from lug to lug. It is water-resistant to 200 metres and has a unidirectional bezel with a black ceramic insert and engraved markings.

A charcoal dial with quiet variation
The dial of the new timepiece is charcoal with a sunray finish, giving it a subtle variation in tone as it catches the light. The hands and applied hour markers are darkened, while the luminous material provides contrast when the light fades. The familiar Snowflake hands remain, keeping the watch immediately identifiable as a Black Bay.
The charcoal dial, black case and ceramic bracelet create a restrained palette with enough variation to keep the watch visually interesting. The sunray finish adds a little movement to the dial, while the darkened details maintain the monochromatic character.

The movement remains a strong part of the story
Inside is Tudor’s manufacture Calibre MT5602-U, a self-winding mechanical movement with a 70-hour power reserve. It is both COSC-certified and a METAS Master Chronometer, with testing that covers precision, magnetic resistance, water resistance and power reserve.
The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses a silicon balance spring and variable-inertia balance. These specifications complement the watch’s modern materials, giving the Black Bay Ceramic a technical foundation that matches its contemporary design.
A more complete Black Bay Ceramic
The matching ceramic bracelet brings the Black Bay Ceramic’s material story into sharper focus. The matt black case, charcoal dial and three-link bracelet work together as a continuous design, giving the watch a distinctive presence on the wrist.
The original model introduced ceramic to the Black Bay in a particularly contemporary form. This version extends that approach to the bracelet, creating a more cohesive all-black silhouette while retaining the proportions, Snowflake hands and dive-watch character that define the collection.
